My essay illustrates how western cultures such as American culture had exerted significant influences on every aspects of Taiwanese society. Prior to starting writing the essay, I’ve spent multiple hours reading the US-Taiwan relationship related papers and articles so as to probe more deeply. |

Winning the competition was truly a recognition to me. Back then, there were at lease 60 participants submitting their essays, to be honest, it was indeed out of my expectations. |
